The challenge

The first challenge was finding a name that would be easy to pronounce in both English and Romanian, unique enough for trademark registration. The next step was to create a visual identity that expressed the company’s core values and helped it stand out in the competitive plumbing services market.

The name & tagline

The company name was Vida Engineering, but after discussing the business objectives with the client, we realized that this name might be difficult to remember, challenging for the Romanian audience to spell correctly, and could give the impression that the company offers engineering services, rather than installation and maintenance. Since the term "Vida" held significant meaning for the client, we started with this and aimed to find a name that would be easy to pronounce both in Romanian and internationally, memorable, available for European trademark registration, with the domain and social media handles also available. This is how we came up with the name Vidalio.

Through the tagline, we aimed to communicate the final benefit to the customer, aligned with the brand promise — providing consultancy for choosing the right solutions, delivering functional installations, and offering warranty and maintenance. This led to the tagline: Vidalio – instalatii fara griji! (Worry-free installations!)

The logo

After working through the brief with the client, we identified some key traits of the company and its services. The first priority was to create a modern approach, as most local competitors had outdated identities and used similar color schemes. Another important aspect was to convey that the client's services cover both plumbing and home heating installations, with solid technical expertise. This led to the three symbols: the hexagon, water, and fire.
